I  believe that good documentary editing is an editing skill in itself that trains and prepares the editor for editing in general.

As a documentary editor, I work with extensive non-scripted footage, necessitating the ability to make swift decisions and edit rapidly evolving content.

I possess strong writing and storytelling skills, while employing the same principles of image, audio, music, space, colour, rhythm and subtext as in fiction editing.

This eye-training has honed my ability to focus on characters and narratives, making me particularly skilled in editing character-driven and dialogue-driven stories.

I graduated from the University of Theatre and Film in Budapest, as a film editor. Earlier, I earned a BA degree in liberal arts and a master's degree in communication and media studies.

Starting in 2017, I worked for five years with former Berlinale Talents alumni director Alexa Bakony as an editor and co-writer on a feature documentary titled COLORS OF TOBI, a documentary that delves deep into the transgender experience and tells a story of unwavering love. Colors of Tobi was supported by the Hungarian Film Incubator Programme and the Sundance Institute's Documentary Fund. Its WP was at BFI Flare in 2021 and later that year it won the Mermaid Award at the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival and the Premio Maguey - Jury's Award - at the Guadalajara Film Festival. The film also won the prestigious Hungarian Film Critics' Award for Best Documentary in 2022 and was screened at more than 20 festivals worldwide, including BFI Flare, DOC NYC, ZagrebDox, DMZ International and Arte Kino Festival. It was also nominated for the Silver Eye Award at the Jihlava Documentary Film Festival.

In 2022, I edited the film WHO I AM NOT, directed by Tunde Skovran, also a Berlinale alumnus, this documentary feature film is set in South Africa that focuses on the complicated lives of two intersex individuals. With Patricia Arquette as the lead executive producer, the film has garnered great success and has been featured on prestigious platforms such as Deadline, Variety, and The Guardian. The film premiered at the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, where it won three awards, including the Silver Alexander Award and later the Silver Horn at the Krakow Film Festival. Since then, the film has been selected and screened at more than 60 festivals on four continents, including South by Southwest Film Festival, CPH:DOX, and the Sydney Film Festival, winning a total of 18 awards. Who I am not was the Centrepiece Presentation of the 37th BFI Flare Film Festival and this year has been shortlisted for a nomination in the category of Documentary Film at the European Film Awards 2023. POV acquired Who I am not and the film will debute as part of POV's 37th season launching summer 2024.

Beyond these documentaries, my passion for editing extends to feature films and short films. My previous work includes the feature film EVICTION, which follows the one-day battle between an elderly woman facing eviction and the bailiff. The film sensitively touches on a social problem that is systemic, where no one can make a good decision.

I was selected for the Berlinale Talents in 2024.

Later in 2024 I was offered admission to the National Film and Television School in London, but I declined for personal reasons.

I am a member of the European Film Academy, the Hungarian Society of Film and Video Editors (HSE) and the Hungarian Documentary Association (HDA).
